I spent this past weekend in Málaga, SpainMálaga, the seaside capital of the autonomous region of Málaga, is about a 2.5 hour bus ride southeast from Sevilla. I really didn’t know anything about Málaga when I planned this trip with a few compañeras… and I still don’t really know anything about Málaga. Oh! I do know that Pablo Picasso was born there, since we visited his birthplace home and walked by the Picasso museum there. But other than that, nada sobre Málaga.

We arrived Friday night, freshened up at our apartment booked through airbnb.com (which was equal to if not cheaper than staying in a hostel), and wandered the streets until we found some streets with restaurants. We peeked in the windows of several but decided on one that had 2€ tapas; it was cozy and crowded, therefore we knew it had to be good. After some “fishbowls” of tinto de verano and too…
